Sounds & Sandos
「Sounds & Sandos」は、 Sibling と Panasonic Design NY が共同で企画した、業界・分野・文化の交わりを探求する「クリエイティブ・クロスオーバー」イベント・シリーズの第一弾です。ローカルのクリエイティブコミュニティとコラボレーションし、音やサウンドデザインを通じてフード体験の可能性を探る、オーディオ×味覚の体験型イベントを開催しました。
ブルックリンの人気の日系サンドイッチ店 Taku Sando にインスパイアされ、オーディオブランディング社Audio UX とともに、食にまつわるサウンドスケープを用意しました。キッチンの音や揚げ物のジュージュー音、サクサクのサンドを包むラッピングペーパーの音など、一連のASMRオーディオ・ペアリングを制作。
それらを「リスニング・ステーション」として Taku Sando のバックヤードに設置し、ゲストは食事を楽しみながら、音の世界にも浸れる仕掛けを体験しました。
“Sounds & Sandos” was part of Creative Crossovers, an event series by Sibling and Panasonic Design NY that explores interplays between industries, disciplines, creative communities, and culture. Our first event was an exploration of how technology enhances multi-sensory experiences, prompting us to design an audio-sensory tasting event that aimed to elevate food experiences through sound design.
Inspired by Brooklyn-based Japanese craft sandwich shop Taku Sando and their iconic katsu-sando, we partnered with Audio UX to create a series of ASMR audio pairings (think: kitchen percussions, deep fryer sizzles, crunchy sandwich wrappers).
We set up ambient listening stations throughout Taku Sando’s backyard space, where guests were free to explore and listen to the soundscapes while enjoying their meals.
