Sounds & Sandos
「Creative Crossovers」は、Sibling と Panasonic Design NY によるイベントシリーズです。業界や分野、クリエイティブコミュニティ、そしてカルチャーが交差する瞬間に着目し、その相互作用を探ります。第1回目となる 「Sounds & Sandos」 では、音やサウンドデザインを通じてフード体験の可能性を探る、オーディオ×味覚の体験型イベントを開催しました。
ブルックリンを拠点とする日本のサンドショップ Taku Sando の名物・カツサンドに着想を得て、オーディオブランディング社Audio UX とパートナーシップを組み、ASMRを取り入れた音のペアリングを制作。キッチンのリズム、フライヤーの揚がる音、サンドイッチの包み紙が奏でる“パリッ”という音など、食にまつわるサウンドスケープを用意しました。
会場となった Taku Sando のバックヤードには「リスニング・ステーション」を設置。ゲストは食事を楽しみながら、自由に音の風景を巡り、音がフード体験をどのように拡張するのかを体感できる場となりました。
"Creative Crossovers" is an event series by Sibling and Panasonic Design NY that explores interplays between industries, disciplines, creative communities, and culture. Our first was “Sounds & Sandos”: An audio-sensory tasting event that explored the potential of food experiences through sound design.
Inspired by Brooklyn-based Japanese sandwich shop Taku Sando and their iconic katsu-sandos, we partnered with Audio UX to create a series of ASMR audio pairings (think: kitchen percussions, deep fryer sizzles, crunchy sandwich wrappers). We set up “listening stations” in Taku Sando’s backyard, where guests were free to explore and listen to the soundscapes while enjoying their meals.
